Wonderful things happen and start with our love for ourselves, a healthy, caring and compassionate feeling. Once our heart is filled, only then are we truly capable to serve others and spill our love, compassion and care on our loved ones and the world at large. Healthy self-love can be wonderfully nourished by creating a space (sometimes indeed carving it out) to honour yourself, your unique beauty, your presence, your goddess within. Some women manage to dedicate a corner of their home to themselves, their spiritual practices, a mini shrine of sorts, a mini altar. Flowers, crystals, essential oils, favourite books and quotes can be wonderful attributes of it, but Your Portrait is the Queen above all. By itself, in itself, it is a very powerful statement to the Universe of self honour and love.
When we see ourselves on a daily basis as beautiful, unique and majestic creations, we elevate ourselves, we train our minds to further make choices in life that are congruent with our understanding of selves as such. We choose situations where we are loved, respected, and celebrated. That is why it’s important to be aware and mindful about the images of yourself you see on a daily basis.
What does your Facebook or Instagram avatar look like? What do you see? Are you even there? Is there another human being that commands more space and attention in your photo? You see this image of self, a version of self, many times per day. As such, if affects how you perceive yourself and then the actions you take, or do not take, in this world. It gives an example to the world of who you are, how you should be perceived and treated. Does it show you being loved, nurtured, happy, confident? What do you see?
We suggest to wallpaper your life with images of yourself as wonderful as you can get! And then, see the magic unfold, one moment, feeling and synchronicity at a time. Nurture your worth, replenish your vessel with love, and spill it like a gentle waterfall onto the world around.
