Treat yourself right

We believe that at this day and age, many would agree that the importance of experiences is often greater than that of the material goods. They shape us, influence our growth, and make up some of life’s most valuable lessons. Now, more than ever, we try to invest into memories, experiences, and discoveries. A pair of shoes or a beautiful purse may make you happy for a day or two, but there is nothing quiet like beautiful memories to keep and share with your loved ones. And as you may have guessed it, we are certainly advocates of photography when it comes to capturing and preserving the precious and personal memories! There is quiet nothing like celebrating yourself, your style, your beauty, and of course, preserving it in a series of beautiful photographs.

It has become a tradition for some of our clients, to come back, year after year, as they have new occasions or new ideas to celebrate. We were thrilled to have our wonderful Miss O. return to Kissed By Light studio with more unique ideas and tremendous styles. You may see her previous shoot here – Being Yourself

This time, inspired by the incredible Marlene Dietrich, Miss O’s creative direction took us on a new fun journey, as we experimented with outfits, set ups, beautiful handmade jewellery, and of course, a cigarette holder! She is as much of a darling and charming woman in person as she is in these photographs and we are very proud to work with her.

We would like to thank Miss O for her wonderful inspiration and giving us this opportunity to share the beautiful results with our readers! We hope that you enjoy this series!



Special celebration

Pregnancy is a wonderful time – you are preparing to welcome a baby, reconnecting with yourself, with nature, health, and concentrating on your well being. And for one, it is certainly a time to spoil your special someone – yourself! And that we are all behind on! Not to mention, opportunities to treat yourself are endless – from little treats, to yoga, to relaxation, those boots you have been vying for, and of course, a photo session! Which is where we come in!

This time goes by faster than one can imagine. Its preservation is a goal we take seriously. Its moments – priceless. Its beauty – so uniquely your own. The photographs – full of tenderness you wish to remember and nurture.

Ms. L has first discovered our studio when she decided to experience boudoir photography. When time for maternity photographs came, we were thrilled to have her back with us. We made sure to pamper the soon mother to be – makeup, hairstyling, refreshments, and of course, the photo session itself. Her photoshoot has remarkable softness to it, every shot giving a little glimpse into this very special moment. Delicate, yet rich, compositions and colours complimented her beautiful complexion, creating a story, one we can’t help but want to share with you! We hope you enjoy the photographs as much as we enjoyed capturing them!

What determines a woman’s stages and limits in life? Is it age? Is it the birth of her children or grandchildren? Is it society, marketers, focus groups, or traditions? We dare say neither. Capturing beauty and essence of women in front of our lens, we came to a conclusion that may seem like a cliche, yet is truthful as ever – our limits are defined on our own, strictly personal terms. And we certainly have yet to meet a woman who doesn’t do the most spectacular job at being herself!

True believers in the old but good saying that age is nothing but a number, we have captured boudoir photos for women who define their sensuality on their own terms and do so at whichever age they like! And need we say that the resulting photos are absolutely beautiful?! We have met Ms. N and were very excited to capture her sparkling personality. She came to Kissed By Light Studio to try our boudoir photo shoot experience and capture new beautiful memories. And it was absolutely wonderful working with her, as we all enjoyed every minute of the photo session. From delicate lace to pearls, her looks were refined and elegant. Needless to say, we were all excited to see the final results, and now, we are very happy to share them with you!
