Any day of life, modern, and back in history, beauty of a woman has always been something that was marvelled about, celebrated and elevated to the level of God. Modern muse of today, beautiful in her uniqueness, is captured in photography, while ladies back in the day were celebrated by being painted by the old masters. Whether with the use of oil and canvas, or modern day photography, capturing the intimate beauty of a woman remains a wonderful craft.
The energy of a woman is that of grace, delight and harmony. She evokes the feelings of relaxation, joy and happiness. She fills the world around her with inspiration, power, and the forces of life. She’s a creator, she’s a Goddess, she’s a life force herself. Enjoying these feelings when looking at beautiful images of women elevates, rejuvenates and inspires the observer. Also, it makes one feel grateful for the wonderful female form and beautiful art of painting and photography.

Wonderful things happen and start with our love for ourselves, a healthy, caring and compassionate feeling. Once our heart is filled, only then are we truly capable to serve others and spill our love, compassion and care on our loved ones and the world at large. Healthy self-love can be wonderfully nourished by creating a space (sometimes indeed carving it out) to honour yourself, your unique beauty, your presence, your goddess within. Some women manage to dedicate a corner of their home to themselves, their spiritual practices, a mini shrine of sorts, a mini altar. Flowers, crystals, essential oils, favourite books and quotes can be wonderful attributes of it, but Your Portrait is the Queen above all. By itself, in itself, it is a very powerful statement to the Universe of self honour and love.
When we see ourselves on a daily basis as beautiful, unique and majestic creations, we elevate ourselves, we train our minds to further make choices in life that are congruent with our understanding of selves as such. We choose situations where we are loved, respected, and celebrated. That is why it’s important to be aware and mindful about the images of yourself you see on a daily basis.
What does your Facebook or Instagram avatar look like? What do you see? Are you even there? Is there another human being that commands more space and attention in your photo? You see this image of self, a version of self, many times per day. As such, if affects how you perceive yourself and then the actions you take, or do not take, in this world. It gives an example to the world of who you are, how you should be perceived and treated. Does it show you being loved, nurtured, happy, confident? What do you see?
We suggest to wallpaper your life with images of yourself as wonderful as you can get! And then, see the magic unfold, one moment, feeling and synchronicity at a time. Nurture your worth, replenish your vessel with love, and spill it like a gentle waterfall onto the world around.

Love is in the air, Passion is in the air, and that’s what’s going on this Valentine’s Day at our Kissed by Light Photo Studio. Featuring our own amazing new photographer Taira and her loving husband. Boom! These photos are a bomb, exploding with passion, closeness and romance.
If you knew Taira and her husband you’d know they’re a beautiful, loving and sharing couple, fun parents, they find great joy in exploring Italy, and are simply adored by their friends. Then came the couple boudoir photoshoot. The clothes came off revealing the intimate depth of their relationship, and.. Taira’s hot sexy body! This adorable next-door couple went all in on “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”, their passion and attraction for each other being generally concealed from the outsiders. Their connection is beautiful, and draws one in to explore the images over and over.
With the heart-shaped eyes, we’ve devoured the results of this couple’s photo shoot by our creative director Lora Vertue. There were so many amazing photos that it was very hard to select.
Have a lovely Valentine’s Day, we wish you Love and Passion from the depths of our hearts!

Gorgeous, confident, and with hypnotising allure, Miss H. rocked her boudoir photoshoot. Her sexy presence only amplifies her beautiful curves and makes her images stunning. Unforgettable for men and inspiring for women are women who feel comfortable in their own skin, and Miss H is a true embodiment of this statement.
Long, sexy locks, sharp stilettos and sparkle in her eyes make the images seductive and playful. And, may we say, seductive and playful was THE feeling of this entire photoshoot! We totally love the sexy nude body piece on this muse, gentle pink highlighting her femininity, and its subtle glow shining light on her stunning curves. (Hint hint! Sexy body pieces are amazing for the wardrobe, for those who plan a shoot with us soon.)

Getting ready for your first boudoir photoshoot can be a stressful task. Selecting the outfits, choosing lingerie, shopping, can all be very time consuming and daunting, especially not knowing what to expect at the photo session and once you arrive in our photo studio. So we’ve made it easy for you to pack your bags by putting together a list of must-have items that work for anyone. And if you are still in doubt after reading our guide, simply follow the rule: the more the merrier. Our style experts will help you choose your final outfits in the studio, so relax and enjoy this exciting experience!
1. BRA SETS
A well fitted good push-up bra with a matching set of underwear is a perfect start to your boudoir photoshoot lingerie collection. It is best to bring a variety of bras – play with colours and textures that suit you and that you like. From gentle pastels to bright colours, to classic black sets, any of these sets can work, but most importantly – they have to fit you well. For outfits you’ve had for a while, we always recommend to try them on a day or two before the session to make sure they fit you just as well as you remember them. You can also complement some of your bra sets collection with a garter belt and stockings to achieve that classic boudoir look!
A bodysuit is an all-in-one outfit that we highly recommend to bring, as it works for most body types and is a great way to rock your curves! It is very versatile and can be paired up with a blazer or even a leather jacket (channel your inner Kate Moss here!). Bodysuits are very feminine and will always work in classic black (or white for the lighter, more bridal look) or any other colour that gives you confidence (think bright reds for the femme fatale twist!).
3. BLACK & NUDE HIGH HEELS
Even if you are not so keen on wearing high heels, we highly recommend to bring at least two pairs – your highest pair of black and nude heels or pumps. They can pair up with pretty much anything and will give your legs that extra length and your mind that extra boost of confidence for a more polished boudoir look. Don’t think about comfort here – you will not be wearing them for a whole day in the studio, so feel confident to skip the comfort for the looks here.
4. COMFY ROBE & HOME SLIPPERS
Now for the extra comfort while you are in the studio, we recommend to bring your comfiest robe and home slippers to change into between the takes and while sitting in for the make-up (on average about 1.5hrs, which is a lot of sitting!). Don’t tie your robe too tightly to avoid lines on your abdomen and bring comfy slippers to walk around the studio and while sitting, as socks will have to come off at least an hour before the shoot in order to avoid lines on ankles. Besides, wearing familiar items will relax you and make you feel at least a little bit like home!
5. YOU OUTFIT
This is your moment to get creative during your photo session – bring a unique outfit you love or want to experiment with, your favourite outfit that reflects your personality or anything else you want to try – from a cosy favourite sweater and over-the-knee socks to your partner’s favourite sports hat and shirt, to an elegant gown, to that glamorous outfit you never had the occasion to wear – now is your chance! We are always up to get creative and to make this look unique and very YOU!
We always say: it is great to come prepared and ready for your boudoir photoshoot, but after all, the most beautiful accessory is your body, confidence and a smile! If you are worried about not having enough outfits, an Artistic Nude look is always an option with any session. As photographers, we think there is nothing more beautiful than a nude female silhouette and we will be thrilled to capture you in the most natural look of all!
